BICHON

Bichons are one of the most LOVABLE breeds. They are a good family dog. They are a dependent breed. Meaning they want to be with you , in your lap or at your feet all the time. They will amuse themselves when you are away, but they are VERY HAPPY when you return! The males are MUCH more LOVABLE than the females, and easier to train. I can housebreak a male in 1 to 2 months, a female can take up to 6mo. to a year.(there are exceptions)They average 8 to 15 pounds.( ours average 10 pounds) They need to be brushed 3 to 6 times and clipped every 4 to 6 months. They are very good with children because they are gentle, playful,and just a very Happy dog. They are not Biters or Barkers and they do not shed after they get their adult hair. They are one of the non-allergic breeds. CHIHUAHUA

Chihuahuas come in Long hair and short hair. They are very delicate and are not good with little children. (the children can be too ruff with them) They average 3 to 6 pounds. They are smart and fairly easy to train. They are great carry along dogs. They love to be with people and the center of attention. They are good watch dogs. They can be active and barky and they think they are a big dog. Very little grooming is involved with the short hair ones. CORGI PEMBROKE

Corgi's come in different colors. They are happy dogs and love to please. They are smart and easy to train. Obedience training is recommended. They get along well with other pets. They are good with children. Since they have long bodies and can be prone to back problems so you need to be sure they do not become over weight. The normal weight is 25 to 30 pounds. MALTESE

Maltese are cute funny little pups. They love to show off and be pampered. They are a LAP DOG.They are a very happy and lovable dog. They need to be brushed daily. They get to be 5 to 8 pounds full grown. They are very smart and easily trained. They are a delicate dog and are better with older children. POMERANIAN

Pomeranians are a member of the Spitz family. They are happy little LAP DOG. They average from 4 to 7 pounds. They like to go with you and can be easily carried . They are good watch dogs and easily trained. They are a very loyal dog. They require allot of brushing because of their thick coat and become matted easily. They come in various colors. SCHNAUZERS MINI

Schnauzers are lively and entertaining pups. They are energetic and can be a barker. They are good watch dogs. They are good with children because they are playful and love to fetch. They average about 12 to 18 pounds. They need Obedience training but they do learn fast. They need lots of toys to amuse them. SHIBA INU

Shiba Inus are interesting pups. They are extremely intelligent. They are very independent and have minds of their own. They do things on their terms. The males are much more affectionate then the females. The females are smaller than the males. The males average 20 to 35 pounds. Females average 18 to 25 pounds. They are very protective and can be lovable on their terms. They are a very clean dog, they do not like to be dirty. They are not a dog for everyone.They housebreak very fast, but other training takes a lot of patience because they tend to learn things fast but only do them when they want to. SILKY TERRIERS

Silky terriers are very nice family dogs. Silkys look just like a Yorkshire Terrier except they are a little larger. They average 9 to 15 pounds. Silkys are mainly companion dogs. They are definitely a LAP DOG
They are very good with kids. They are not bitters or barkers. they are playfull and love to go for rides in the car. They get along well with other pets. They are generally not hyper dogs. Silkys require allot of grooming. They have floor length hair that can be trimmed in a schnauzer cut, and they look very cute and they are less work to groom. SOFT COATED WHEATEN TERRIER

Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers are great family dogs. They are one of the few dogs that have hair instead of fur so people that are allergic to dogs are usually not allergic to this breed. The pups are usually reds and black in various shades, as seen in the middle picture. It takes about one and a half years before they turn their true adult Wheaten color. They average 30 to 40 pounds, 18 inches high. They are playful and adapt well to city life. They do require allot of grooming. They should be brushed daily. They are also good watch dogs. WEST HIGHLAND WHITE TERRIER

West Highland White Terriers are one of the best terrier. They do not have allot of the terrier bad qualities. They are good family dogs and good watch dogs. They are easy to groom, regular brushing and an occasional clip is fine. They are a white skinned dog so you need to feed them a Lamb and Rice dry dog food to keep their coats nice. They are a very happy playful dog and good with children. They almost never run out of energy. They average about 12 to 20 pounds full grown. they should be pure white and have black nose and eyes. They are a small dog that thinks they are big dogs. They are not afraid of anything. They can be lap dogs but are more happy playing fetch. Just a short note to everyone looking for a Purebreed dog. In the next couple of years Many Breeders will NOT be registering their pups with AKC. They will still be purebreed pups but they will be registered with another registry. There are several Registries and all are just as good as AKC. AKC keeps raising their fees and they are not giving any better service. So for a short time we will be double registering our pups and you will be free to register them with either registry.
